Lisa recently extended her musical reach in an exciting performance as Special Guest Soloist with the 45-piece Richey Symphonic Orchestra.
Of the experience, Lisa says, "It felt
wonderful! That full, lush sound all around me was energizing, uplifting...utterly thrilling."
The program, planned by Executive Director Denise Isaacson, who personally recruited Lisa for the engagement, was titled
HOLLYWOOD HITS. The sold-out show opened the concert season at Center for the Arts at River Ridge in New Port Richey, Florida.
Lisa's hour-long part of the program included, according to the concert program, "A Fabulous
Tribute To Judy Garland." Bob Boyd, who has worked many times with Lisa, conducted.
A videotape recording of the concert was made by a fan. Considering that he used a non-professional hand-held camera with no
special lights or sound, the tape turned out very well indeed. An edited 11:35-minute version of Lisa's performance can be found below.
All in all it's an experience Lisa
would be happy to repeat.
