Songstress/actress Lisa Donovan gets out of the habit - the multi-talented lady portrays the Mother Superior in Nunsense at the LVH (formerly known as the Las Vegas Hilton, and before that the International) - for a special performance in the Ravello Lounge at the M Resort Spa Casino Saturday, January 21st at 6:30 p.m. From television's Face the Music and The Young and The Restless, to Broadway (Babes In Arms, directed by Ginger Rogers), to Las Vegas show rooms, appearing with the likes of Ray Charles, Norm Crosby, Billy Crystal, Bob Hope, Rich Little, Jan Murray, Donald O'Connor, Don Rickles, Mickey Rooney, Mel Torme, and Jerry Van Dyke. In 1994, when George Burns was 98-years-of-age, Lisa was his opening act at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and Tahoe. As a result of a fall in his home that same year, those performances turned out to be Burns' last. Lisa's appearance at the M will include major parts of her one woman shows - Judy! Judy! Judy! Lisa Sings Garland, and It's About Broadway: Lisa Sings the Showstoppers - that have played in venues around the world. Before and after her M Resort show, you can see Lisa Donovan in Nunsense in the Shimmer Cabaret at LVH. Showtimes are at 4 p.m., dark on Fridays. For reservations, call (702) 732-5755.
